Should I refinance my auto loan and trade in my car for a newer one?
I have a 2011 Nissan Altima, my parents got it for me when i was 17. They traded in a yukon for the car, leaving a high payment on the altima. I am now 19 and I am very tired of paying $500 for a car that isnt worth that amount of money. I am working on establishing credit so I can either refinance the loan I have now, or trade in the altima for a 2014 chevy impala? I dont know whether to wait it out, refinance the car have lower payments and pay it off? Or after establashing credit I trade in the altima and get the Impala under my name. Would it be better to pay off the altima and then get the impala?
